Walmart buys Cornershop for $225MM

According to WSJ, Walmart continues to expand its digital commerce business by buying the Latin American grocery delivery service known as Cornershop for $225 million. The startup offers on-demand delivery from retailers in Mexico and Chile. The retail giant recently invested in a Chinese online grocer and entered an agreement with a Japanese grocery service. Walmart also bought a controlling stakes in India’s Flipkart Group for $16 billion.
