In addition to fitting thousands of shoppers, 3D stores are proving to be environments where people spend big. Obsess, which creates virtual storefronts that can be accessed via mobile or desktop, says its immersive 3D boutiques significantly outperform standard e-commerce sites, with one jewelry seller seeing order values that are 111% higher and another, American Girl, seeing user sessions that last 1,000% longer.
