I never get tired of watching people lift massive amounts of weight. It’s satisfying on a primal level — the kind of thing that would come in handy a in Zombie apocalypse, or if you need help moving some weekend. Today, power lifter Eddie Hall — nicknamed “The Beast” — is the guy on top of this particular world, as he broke the world deadlift record, at the Arnold Classic in Australia, by hoisting 1,018.5 pounds:
That’s Arnold Schwarzenegger off to Hall’s side, cheering him on. Arnold is no stranger to lifting big weights, but, to put Hall’s record in perspective, he beat Arnold’s record by over 300 pounds.
