A lot of people turn their noses up at promotional products. And to a point, they are right. There is no point in having thousands of branded pens made up if you are never going to use them.
But there are ways of making them work harder for your business. If you are prepared to think creatively about promotional products, they can bring excellent results.
So, if you want an excellent and cost-effective way of getting your company name out, there, read on for these awesome tips.
A Matter Of Reciprocation
If you are marketing your business properly, you will know what makes your customers tick. You will understand what they need, and what they are afraid of. Use this to choose a promotional product that they will appreciate.
For example, if you are a designer you could hand out free branded data sticks with a few business card templates on them. If they are good enough, the recipients will remember you.
Choose Your Targets
If you have stuff to give away, you want to focus in on the person you want to receive it. Standing in a mall handing things out to every Tom, Dick or Harriet isn’t going to be an effective way of reaching the right person.
So, holding a stall at a trade fair will narrow down your audience to those that might find you of interest. Give away stuff to those people, and you could be onto a winner.
Choose The Right Product
Think about who is going to use the branded product. A lot of companies spend a fortune on T-shirts to give out to people with their logo on it. Big mistake. Nobody wants to wear a T-shirt made by a company unless it is a huge brand. You might get a good result, but the chances are slim.
However, T-shirts can work if you dole them out to your staff. Get them to wear them when you are organizing a promotional drive. Get them to wear them at work. Get them to wear them when they are playing sport – like these promotional bags – or even sponsor a local sports club. It’s not about what products you brand; it is all about how they will be used.
Don’t Add To The Trash
The more unique and creative promotional items are, the less likely they will end up in the garbage. Try and come up with some cool ideas that will excite, amuse, or click with people. Make sure they are safe to use, as well. If you give out a whole bunch of stuff that ends up making somebody ill, it’s not going to go well for you.
At the same time, don’t come up with gimmicky ideas. Your promotional products need to be of use to people. There is already too much landfill in this country, and no company should be trying their best to add to it.
