Biden reelection campaigns says Trump-Hitler comparisons ‘not a coincidence’

Biden Campaign Compares Trump to Hitler in New Social Media Post

‘Trump parrots Hitler,’ the Biden campaign said on X

Joe Biden’s re-election campaign attacked Donald Trump in a new social media post on Wednesday, comparing quotes from the former president to those of Hitler.

“This is not a coincidence,” the post caption read.

TRUMP PARROTS HITLER —Trump: “We will root out” my political opponents that “live like vermin" within our country —Hitler: Jews are “vermin” and “pests” that must be “exterminated” —Trump: Immigrants are "poisoning the blood of our country" —Hitler: “Contamination of the blood” by “an inferior race” will lead to the fall of Germany —Trump: My political opponents “within our country” are “far worse” than the dictators of Russia, North Korea —Hitler: We must all “recognize the greater inner enemy” in Germany

“Trump parrots Hitler,” the header of the image said, comparing Trump’s use of the word “vermin” to describe his opponents to Hitler’s use of the word to say that “Jews are ‘vermin’ and pests’.”

Biden’s campaign had made similar comments when Trump first used the word at a rally in New Hampshire in November — where he said he would “root out the communists, Marxists, fascists and the radical left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country.” Back then, Biden said this kind of language could be heard “in Nazi Germany.”

The post also uses Trump’s recent comments saying that undocumented immigrants are “poisoning the blood of our country” in comparison to Hitler’s speech where he mentions “contamination of the blood” by “an inferior race.”

Trump’s comments came during a rally in November, and the Biden campaign also responded similarly then, with a Biden’s campaign spokesperson arguing the former president was invoking “the rhetoric of Adolf Hitler.”

More recently, Biden said in a fundraiser on Tuesday night that Trump’s language is “coming out of Germany in the ’30s.”

Similarly, a Biden campaign adviser and former White House press secretary TJ Ducklo targeted Trump on Wednesday — more specifically the former president’s remarks saying he has “never read Mein Kampf” on Tuesday night, as a response to all the attacks comparing him to Hitler.

“Probably the audiobook then,” Ducklo wrote on X.
