Campbell Soup is looking to sell off its international operations and fresh foods business. The sale would include the company’s Bolthouse Farms, Garden Fresh, Arnott’s and Kelsen brands, which collectively generate $2.1 billion in revenue each year. Campbell’s focus on fresh foods has weighed down the company due to management issues, recalls and poor harvests, according to The Wall Street Journal. A sale of that business will allow the company to focus on its soup and snack brands. Activist investors, including a descendant of the inventor of Campbell’s condensed soup, are pushing for a full sale of the company, the Journal reports.
