Crowdfunding Projects – Trick or Treat?

It’s almost Halloween, the time of year when zombies, superheroes & princesses descend on your neighborhood looking for handouts. But what about your online community? How do you decide who gets candy?

If you spend a fair amount of time online, then you probably have received an email about a crowdfunding project. It could be from a friend, a family member, or an organization that you support or an establishment that you regularly visit. Crowdfunding is all about community. In today’s economic environment, more and more people are turning to crowdfunding to raise money. It could be for a local marching band, a new mobile app or a bone marrow drive.

At YouveGotFunds.com, we’ve got lots of great projects that meet the “Treat” criteria. Ride a motorcycle for Veterans? (http://www.youvegotfunds.com/profile.php?pid=165), Give disabled students real-life job experience? (http://www.youvegotfunds.com/profile.php?pid=191), Run the Boston Marathon and raise money for the fight against cancer? (http://www.youvegotfunds.com/profile.php?pid=114), or Help HIV/AIDs patients by assisting Andrew in joining the Peace Corps? (http://www.youvegotfunds.com/profile.php?pid=178).

Does helping these projects put a smile on your face? Pay it forward by giving to a veteran or a homeless family.  Do you believe in the cause or feel a connection with the story or person that is asking for help? Is it a film that you can’t wait to see or a new technology that will help the planet?  Why not be the one to raise money for a crowdfunding campaign? Your contribution could save a vintage theater or bring an art project to life.

Rewards-based crowdfunding is all about helping others. Remember, you can always turn off your lights and pretend you’re not home. Or you can happily choose to give out candy.
