Joan Rivers made news over the weekend after she cut short an interview with CNN’s Fredricka Whitfield, pulled out her earpiece and stromec off the set. During an appearance set to air tonight on The Late Show, Rivers was attempting to tell David Letterman what happened when he pulled the same stunt on her.
Saying she doesn’t even know the name of the woman who interviewed her, Rivers said she was being “very judgmental, nasty, opinionated, negative.” She joked, “it was like my wedding night.” Letterman suggested that perhaps the whole thing was a publicity stunt to promote Rivers’ new book, Diary of a Mad Diva
But when Rivers started talking about how she lost out on a big Depends endorsement, Letterman stood up, took off his jacket and stormed off the stage.
