It’s no stretch to say that this is the age of technology. From glasses that double as cameras to vacuuming robots, technology permeates all aspects of our lives. This trend has continued into our living room, where we can watch media on our phone, tablet, laptop, E-reader and other devices. However, in spite of all this, there’s still a place for the television in our home.

Why a television

It’s understandable why so many people like to view media on a tablet: it’s convenient and easy to navigate. Plus, there are so many streaming services out there, you don’t need cable to watch whatever you want. However, you can’t really watch a movie with a friend with a 10” screen. That’s why many televisions today are “smart” TVs, Wi-Fi-capable capable televisions that can stream Netflix, Hulu, etc. Then you can watch all your favorite streaming services on the big screen.

Even if you don’t have a smart TV, you can still watch all your favorite streaming services with an extra player attached. For instance, the Google Chromecast allows you to mirror any site on your tablet or phone onto the big screen. Go here to see how installing iptv onto an iptv android box works.

Best TV cabinets to watch it on

One of the indirect benefits of a TV is how it ties a room together. It’s one of the style focal points of the room, and the rest of the room can be designed and tailored accordingly. As such, if you need something to set up your TV on, it must be functional and look good. TV cabinets can come in all manner of styles, from soft, wood grain finishes to ornate, modern glass stands. It all depends on the look that you want to achieve. In terms of functionality, the best TV stands (and really, any good design) offer what you need, and nothing more. Drawers are good, but if you don’t put anything in them they turn into extra space.

For a simple but functional design, you can’t beat Alphason Essentials 3 shelf TV stand. The design would fit in any style, and has enough room for what you need. Nothing more. The structure is solid, so you won’t have to worry about putting too much weight on it. Additionally, it’s inexpensive, so you can spend that money on different gadgets.

As you can see, TVs still have a place in your living room. Really, it’s not a television vs tablet thing,  it’s TV and tablets. They work together, and take your viewing experience to the next level.
