Kelly Gunderson was having a typical conversation with her mother who has Alzheimer’s disease.
The pair from Georgia were talking about how the mom, Daphne Tresher, couldn’t remember that Kelly was her daughter… until something amazing happened.
Daphne had a lucid moment out of nowhere and very matter-of-factly remembered that her daughter’s name was Kelly.
The sheer happiness and surprise that meets Kelly’s face is so genuine that we can’t help but be moved by this video.
About 5.2 million Americans suffer from Alzheimer’s, so we can’t imagine how Kelly and her family must be feeling after getting this one special moment with the person they thought they lost.
