A day after dropping out of her Wimbledon doubles match when she nearly dropped onto the court, Serena Williams shared a photo of just how she is faring.
Williams, 32, said she is suffering from a bug and the photo she posted on Instagram showed her doing what people do when they have a viral illness: she’s snoozing under a blanket with her cellphone, laptop and a bottle of fluids nearby.
That’s a not-so-subtle reply to insinuations that she might have been faking her illness when she appeared woozy on the court and had to retire from her match with doubles partner Venus Williams. Although she said in a statement that a bug “just got the best of me,” her half-sister told USA Today that she didn’t seem sick before the match.
