Hiring throughout the U.S. is showing signs of cooling down, according to LinkedIn’s October Workforce report, with job growth in all industries down 1.1% from September. After rising for most of 2017 and 2018, this could be seen as an “early” sign that hiring is leveling off. For September, the industry with the greatest increase in hiring nationally was transportation & logistics (up 7.5%), followed by energy & mining (4.6%). As a city, Miami saw a huge rise in hiring last month — up over 31% compared to September 2017, when the city was reeling from the effects of Hurricane Irma.
