Indigo Medical Training launches first-ever Airborne Pathogens Certification to help U.S. businesses safely reopen

Specifically designed to protect employees and customers from airborne pathogens, new online certification program provides industry-leading best practices for businesses

New Braunfels, TX – (April 30, 2020) Indigo Medical Training, a Texas-based leading medical training platform, announced today the first-ever Airborne Pathogens Certification online course, created specifically for essential businesses and the phased reopening of U.S. businesses that have been shuttered due to the novel coronavirus.

The unprecedented online certification program was developed by Indigo Medical Training in conjunction with industry-leading medical professionals and sanitation experts responsible for decontaminating initial COVID-19 outbreaks in King County, Washington.

Based on current guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO), the nationally-accepted Airborne Pathogens Training offers seven modules that provide best practices and suggested protocol for businesses that want to reopen safely. The training program can be completed in two hours and covers the following topics:

  • Module 1: Common Types of Airborne Pathogens

  • Module 2: Proper Hygiene

  • Module 3: Preventing Airborne Pathogen Spread in the Workplace

  • Module 4: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Module 5: Cleaning and Disinfecting Practices

  • Module 6: Standard, Transmission-Based and Airborne Precautions

  • Module 7: Proper Reporting

“Many businesses across the United States are navigating uncharted territory in how to safely reopen and hire. We recognized the need to develop research-based protocols to help businesses open their doors again safely and provide them with mitigating strategies for preventing the spread of airborne pathogens like coronavirus,” says Founder and CEO Benjamin Pfeiffer. “Protecting ourselves and others by learning effective sanitation practices, and safety precautions, can help businesses show leadership in their safety practices and increase public and employee confidence.”

Over the last 15 years, Indigo Medical Training has certified over 200,000 professionals through its online platform. Founder and CEO, Benjamin Pfeiffer, and his team, have developed nationally-recognized protocols for local, state and federal entities, from CPR certification, to a Bloodborne Pathogens Certification program, which is required by all 50 states for professionals who handle or have exposure to human blood and bodily fluids.

During the month of May, the Airborne Pathogens Certification, a $39.95 value, will be offered at 60 percent off for $14.95, the cost of two hours of federal minimum wage in the United States. Scholarships are available for business owners or individuals who have or are currently facing hardship. Simply fill out the Airborne Pathogens Scholarship Application Form for a discounted rate.
