Profiles of Success with Lisa Baronoff.

As an entrepreneur, how do you deal with fear or rejection?

I just motor on. When I just launched I woke up every morning frozen in fear about the product not doing well or people laughing at the idea. When sales skyrocketed I just decided that going forward I would push the fear away… and motor on.

What’s the name of your company? What exactly does your company do, how do you help people?

Walkee Paws – the world’s first dog legging!

Walkee Paws are the softest, stretchiest leggings for your four-footed friends. Designed with durable, four-way stretch fabric and waterproof rubber soles, Walkee Paws protect your pooch from the elements and prevent the many germs, chemicals and allergens they pick up from entering your home.

Unlike other dog booties that slip off mid-walk and are uncomfortably tight around your dog’s ankles, Walkee Paws’ patented design protects your pooch’s entire legs and connects cleverly and comfortably over the back so they’re guaranteed to stay on. Learn more at www.walkeepaws.com.

What were the biggest challenges you have faced and how did you overcome them?

Finding a manufacturer who could do the waterproof rubber booties. I just refused to give up and was tenacious.

What piece of advice do you wish someone had given you at the start of your career?

To follow your heart and do what you love.

Who are your biggest influences and people you admire and why?

My mother. She was an entrepreneur back in the 60’s in South Africa and became the first famous South African Fashion designer.
