Kowanetz’s interest in franchising began as a new college graduate while working in financial services. He started in a sales role with a multi-brand franchise in Florida and has worked in that aspect of franchising for the past decade. Kowanetz comes to ServiceMaster Restore after three years as the Senior Director of Franchise Development for My Eyelab. When Kowanetz was approached for the position at ServiceMaster Restore, he was immediately interested.

“My goal was to eventually lead the development and growth of a strong, industry-leading franchise brand, and ServiceMaster Restore is a well-established leader in the industry,” explains Kowanetz. “I am looking forward to working with franchisees who have, in many cases, been with the franchise for generations. Legacy planning is one of the most exciting parts of this role.”

An active volunteer, Kowanetz appreciates the impact that business owners have in their communities, and he believes in the future of franchising to develop more people who have entrepreneurial goals.

“With a solid, proven business model, franchising offers a way to mitigate risk when starting a business, and that opens the door of entrepreneurship to more people,” he says. “As part of the franchisor team, I really value our role in the franchise relationship. Being able to support individuals who are pursuing franchising as a way to achieve their goals is a very rewarding experience.”
